ABOUT ME
Dr. Mercy Chieza, PsyD. Licensed Psychologist
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with 25 yrs of experience.
I obtained a doctor of psychology degree from Baylor University,
Waco TX. in 1994.
I also attained a post-doctoral master of science degree in
clinical psychopharmacology from the California School of Professional Psychology in 2001. I have worked with children, teens and adults helping them to deal with emotional distress.

I have extensive experience in working with diverse populations, people from different backgrounds and different races. For success in treatment, it is crucial to understand how different people perceive the world differently as determined by their cultures and beliefs. I believe that the process of therapy is enhanced by exploring these differences in order to understand the origins of a problem.
I have extensive experience in conducting a variety of psychological services to include family therapy, group therapy, and play therapy. I have conducted several parent training sessions and have developed and facilitated anger management programs. I also provide suicidal assessments as well as monitoring.
